Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF)

 

This event is aimed at City practitioners to stimulate discussion and research ideas that have practical relevance to the industry and to showcase some of the research in finance that is done in Cambridge.

The event took place on the 11 December 2015, 1pm-5pm, at CCLA Investment Management Limited Senator House, 85 Queen Victoria Street, London EC4V 4ET.

The organiser of the event is CERF (Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance). CERF promotes research in the Cambridge University into all aspects of finance, financial institutions, and financial markets, and their relationship with economic behaviour and performance.

The opening speech will be by Professor Bart Lambrecht, Professor of Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School, Director of CERF  and Research Fellow of the CEPR.

The event will comprise four presentations by leading Cambridge academics and will comprise 4 papers (full Programme TBC):

Professor Chris Rogers (Statistical Laboratory)

Dr. Pedro Saffi (Cambridge Judge Business School)

Each presentation will be followed by discussion, giving practitioners an opportunity to ask questions.

CERF in the CITY event is a great opportunity for City practitioners to interact with academic researchers in the area of finance and cross fertilise the knowledge in research in finance between the academic and the private sector.
